Knaak es el autor de las novelas de Blizzard, incluyendo varias novelas de Diablo, y ha escrito libros para los universos de Warcraft y StarCraft. También es conocido por su serie de Dragonlance propia, creó el mundo Dragonrealm y tres libros para el Age of Conan. La primera novela de Diablo III fue anunciado en octubre de 2011, con Nate Kenyon, un autor joven con un crédito anterior novela de Blizzard, como el autor. No se sabe si Knaak va a escribir los libros adicionales de la serie.
Biografia
Richard A. Knaak nació en Chicago el 28 de mayo de 1961. Richard asistió a la Universidad de Illinois en Urbana-Champaign,estudio retórica, y obtuvo un título de licenciatura. Después de leer la tormenta Andre Norton a lo largo de Brujo, que finalmente vendió su primera historia corta en 1986, y fue publicado en 1987. Él ha enumerado varios de sus influencias, e incluso algunos de sus compañeros autores favoritos, como Edgar Allan Poe, Robert E. Howard, Cook Glen, L. Sprague de Camp, Lawrence Watt-Evans, Harry Turtledove, Jennifer Roberson, Laurell K. Hamilton, Harry Harrison y Robert Sawyer. Se divide la vida en Illinois y Arkansas.
